By using the “Aktual” app you accept the terms below.

The service

The app gathers public news reports from various news sources, groups them and presents them with short summaries. A link to the original source is provided for the full text of every story. The app is not the author of the news and is not responsible for third-party content.

Accuracy of content

Summaries may be produced by automated means and may contain errors. The service is provided “as is”; the complete accuracy of the content is not guaranteed. For precise information, refer to the original source.

Account

Creating an account is optional. You are responsible for keeping your account details confidential. We may restrict access in cases of account abuse.

Aktual Pro subscription

An optional auto-renewable subscription called “Aktual Pro” is offered inside the app; it is sold and managed through the App Store:

• Plans: monthly and yearly subscription plans are available. The exact price, currency and billing period are shown by the App Store on the purchase screen.
• Payment: the subscription fee is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• Auto-renewal: unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period under Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, the subscription renews automatically for the same period; the renewal fee is charged to your account within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial (where offered): if a free trial period is shown at the time of purchase, the fee for the selected plan begins to be charged automatically once the trial ends, unless it has been cancelled.
• Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time on your device under Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling from inside the app is not possible — this is a requirement of Apple's App Store rules.
• Refunds: because payments are processed by Apple, refund requests are handled under Apple's own rules and procedures; we cannot issue refunds directly.
• Price changes: prices may change by region and in line with Apple's policy; any price increase for existing subscribers is applied under the advance-notice rules Apple requires.
• What you are paying for: Aktual Pro provides access to additional personalisation, AI Context, source comparison and extended story tracking. The main news feed remains free without Pro.

Unacceptable use

• Unlawful interference with the service or attempts at unauthorised access;
• Placing load on the system through automated bulk requests;
• Redistributing content in violation of the law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use means acceptance of the updated terms.
